This project is a Virtual Reality (VR) simulation designed to help secondary school students understand and practice volumetric analysis in Chemistry labs using immersive technology. This project aims to offer a modern, interactive alternative to traditional lab practices especially for schools with limited lab resources. It provides a hands-on learning experience in a safe and controlled virtual environment, helping students better understand complex concepts.
As the project lead, I worked with my two uninversity colleague, Beatrice Mike and Edgar Gulay, we built this project as part of our final year project (research). I was responsible for modeling the 3D environment of the chemistry laboratory and developing the simulation in Unity for the first MVP version. For the second version, I collaborated with Bernard Masika to enhance the simulation based on feedback and performance.
Blender, Figma, Unity, Meta Quest.
Final year of study, Nov 2023 to April 2024.
